Before applying to become an Æðµã´«Ã½ Approved Instructor, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

• Complete the Course(s) You Wish to Teach — You must have completed the most recent course(s) you are interested in instructing. Find a list of our courses on our Course Catalogue.
• Complete Æðµã´«Ã½’s Train the Trainer Course — This course must be completed within five years of your instructor applicatoin. If you are taking this course specifically for the purpose of becoming an Æðµã´«Ã½ Approved Instructor, contact [email protected] to request a discount when registering for an Æðµã´«Ã½-nationally offered event.
• Have Relevant Industry Experience — You must have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the content of the course(s) you wish to teach.
• Submit Your Application — Once all requirements are complete, apply to become an Æðµã´«Ã½ instructor through the online application form.

Steps to apply:

1. Submit an Online Application — Complete the Instructor Application available on the Æðµã´«Ã½ website. See items needed to submit the application below.
2. Application Review — An Æðµã´«Ã½ staff members will review your submission and forward it to the Instructor Review Group (IRG).
3. Evaluation by the IRG — The IRG will assess your qualifications and determine whether you are approved to teach the course(s) you applied for.
4. Virtual Interview (If needed) — If your application does not provide enough detail, the IRG may request a virtual interview to discuss your experience and expertise in greater depth.

Items You Will Need Before Starting the Application:

• A resume highlighting your knowledge and expertise
• A Subject Matter Expert statement explaining why you feel qualified to teach the course(s) you're applying for
• Three (3) reference letters to upload with contact information
  • Letters should verify your teaching ability and/or subject-matter knowledge
  • Letters cannot come from an Æðµã´«Ã½ staff member, your home HBA, or anyone employed at your current company
  • One letter may come from an HBA you are not a member of

What Happens Next:

• If Approved — You will receive a congratulatory letter detailing which courses you have been approved to teach, along with login information for the Æðµã´«Ã½ Instructor FTP Site, where you can access course materials
• If Denied — You will receive an email explaining that the IRG did not approve your application at this time. Suggestions will be included to help you strengthen your qualifications before reapplying. (Note: The decision of the IRG is final.)

The Æðµã´«Ã½ Approved Instructor status is subject to annual renewal. To remain active and listed in the Æðµã´«Ã½ Instructor Directory, you must:

• Review and sign the annual Instructor Guidelines
• Teach at least one (1) course every five (5) years that you are approved to instruct
• Maintain a satisfactory instructor evaluation score
• Stay current with revised course materials for all approved courses
• Notify Æðµã´«Ã½ if your contact information changes
