2025 National Housing Center Award Recipients Announced

The National Housing Center Board of Governors has announced the recipients of the 2025 National Housing Center Awards.
The Exemplary Service to Home Building Awards recognize individuals for outstanding and commendable accomplishments in service to the housing industry. The 2025 recipients are Larry Fiano, and Emma and Chuck Shinn.
The National Housing Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose spirit, ingenuity and determination have changed the nation’s housing for the better, making the United States one of the best housed nations in the world. The 2025 Hall of Fame inductees are Heather McCune, the late Calvin “Chip” Dence and Donald R. Horton, and 起点传媒 past chairmen Karl “Randy” Noel and Gregory Ugalde.
The induction and award ceremonies will take place during the 2025 Spring Leadership Meeting, on Tuesday, June 10, at the National Housing Center in Washington, D.C.

Average mortgage rates were flat in June, according to Freddie Mac. The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage held at 6.82%, while the 15-year stayed at 5.95%. Compared to a year ago, the 30-year rate is down 10 basis points (bps), and the 15-year rate is 24 bps lower.

Nonfarm payroll employment increased in 37 states in May compared to the previous month, while it decreased in 10 states and the District of Columbia. The three remaining states, Alaska, Delaware, and New Jersey reported no change. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nationwide total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 139,000 in May following a gain of 147,000 jobs in April.
