Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors Earn 2023 Spark Innovation Award
The Æðµã´«Ã½ Leading Suppliers Council (LSC) recently announced Masonite as the winner of the 2023 Spark Award for its line of . The Spark Award annually recognizes the most innovative LSC member who demonstrates superior knowledge and expertise in developing cutting-edge building products and services.
"Masonite has a nearly 100-year history of innovation, and what's most important to us is to bring solutions for our partners and for the people who pass through our doors every day," said Martin Heckmann, Masonite's general manager of M-Pwr and connected services. "It's an honor to receive this prestigious award from Æðµã´«Ã½, which plays such a key role in our success in delivering on those goals."
The M-Pwr Smart Doors are the first residential exterior doors to integrate power, lights, a video doorbell and a smart lock into the door system. "It's a fully powered system that allows builders to provide the technology, style and performance that today’s home buyers desire with one purchase," Heckmann said.
With the M-Pwr smartphone app, home owners can enjoy peace of mind and always stay connected wherever they are. The home owner can remotely program and control the built-in motion-activated welcome lighting, as well as confirm whether the door is open or closed. The M-Pwr doors also feature an emergency battery backup in the event of a power outage.
Launched just last year, the M-Pwr Smart Doors have already garnered a significant amount of attention throughout the market. The LSC Spark Award is only the latest of multiple honors the doors have attained from across the tech and home building industries, as well as numerous "best of" distinctions during the Consumer Electronics Show.
And aside from integrating a comprehensive array of built-in technology, Masonite ensured the exterior styling of the doors would highly versatile. The premium fiberglass doors are available in a variety of styles, colors and finishes, including multiple glass options.
Numerous applications from other highly innovative suppliers were submitted for this year's Spark Award. Among them, two stood out enough to earn runner-up honors:
